Cody Peterson | Co-founder & Chief Visionary Officer

Cody is the CVO (Chief Visionary Officer) of Rohinni. Prior to his position at Rohinni, Cody founded Pacinian. Pacinian produced an industry leading touchscreen, keyboard and touch pads for the consumer market. While at Pacinian, Cody led the team to create industry leading haptic actuators, industry’s first force sensing haptic touch pads and touch screens. In addition to that, he developed the world’s thinnest keyboard and he currently holds 10patents. Synaptics acquired Pacinian in 2012.  Synaptics is a dominant market leader in touch screens and they own 75% of today’s laptop touchpad market. Cody has a unique ability to identify untapped potential in new technologies and  facilitate the necessary team to capitalize.

 

Matt Gerber | CEO

Matt has over 25 years of global high technology market experience concentrated in the mobile computing and IT infrastructure markets. Matt has been part of Rohinni since its inception as a board member and was appointed CEO in April 2016. In addition to his CEO role at Rohinni, Matt is also a board member at TeraGo (TGO.TO), a cloud, colocation and connectivity services provider based in Toronto, Canada, and Pearson Packaging, a robotics packaging machinery manufacturer based in Spokane, Washington.  Prior to his current responsibilities, Matt held operating or board roles at several significant mobile computing and cloud computing businesses, including: Digital Fortress, a leader in hybrid cloud infrastructure services; Itronix, a leader in mission critical mobile computing (which was sold to General Dynamics); 2nd Watch, one of Amazon Web Services largest global business partners; IT-Lifeline, one of Amazon Web Services first business partners (which was sold to Reynolds & Reynolds); Pacinian, a leader in haptic technology (which was sold to Synaptics); and Blue Box Group, the first provider of hosted managed private cloud services on top of OpenStack (which was sold to IBM).  Matt’s prior CEO roles include Digital Fortress, IT-Lifeline and SprayCool (a provider of data center infrastructure technology).  Matt holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Hofstra University. When not at work Matt enjoys tinkering with his cars and spending time with his family.

 

Andy Huska | Co-Founder & CTO

Co-founder of Rohinni, Andy builds on 10 years of experience and 12 issued patents in high tech research and development.  Long-standing relationships with fellow Rohinnians and high-level members of laptop computer OEMs have contributed significantly to the rapid development and broad interest of Rohinni's technology. Andy's main focus before Rohinni was 6 years as Software and Electrical Architect at Pacinian Corporation.  Pacinian developed foundational IP and samples of the world's thinnest tactile laptop keyboard, force-sensing capacitive membrane switches, the first commercialized force-sensing touchpad in laptop computers, as well as HapticTouch, a high fidelity, low power haptic surface actuator.  The company was sold to Synaptics, Inc in 2012 for $30MM where Andy then supported the commercialization of Pacinian's developments.  All four technologies are expected to be in the market soon.

 

Jonae Wilson | VP Strategic Development

Jonae Wilson is a seasoned veteran in high technology innovations and business relationships.  She has extensive cross-cultural business acumen as the result of global sales experience with Asia, Europe, and North American client achievements.  Additionally, Jonae has spearheaded partnerships with acclaimed LED makers such as Nichia, Cree, and Bridgelux to create optical and power solutions for her client base.  Special achievements include driving the engineering talents required to develop the first patented Programmable LED Driver and establish a sales channel to support subsequent sales revenue.  Jonae’s broad experience has most recently been focused on developing a worldwide team of highly- talented engineers to develop backlight solutions for the Apple Smartphone and tablet backlight applications. When Jonae is not driving a billion dollar plus business strategy, she enjoys displaying her custom- designed hot rod at local car shows.

 

Orin Ozias | VP of Customer Engineering

Orin has extensive experience collaborating with global partners from start-ups to multi-billion dollar corporations establishing a record of leadership and innovation through Customer Experience, Engineering, and Product Design during a 20+ year tenure at Dell.  He grew with that organization from a few thousand employees to over 100,000 demonstrating his agility and acumen with a proven track record including 29 issued US utility and design patents.  Serving in numerous roles including member of the Office of the CTO, multiple Patent Committees, Sr. Design and Architecture Lead, and Human Interface Device Expert. During one assignment, he increased cross-platform margins $200+MM annually by identifying and championing a PC industry neglected upsell while saving $32MM annually through complexity reductions and $18MM annually through cost negotiation.  Orin’s leadership, passion, and extreme attention to detail culminated in the founding of a world-class Color, Materials, and Finishes Group.  He has managed all stages of the product lifecycle from concept through end of life and recycling.

 

Mark Beach | CIO

Mark Beach is the CIO (Chief Information Officer) at Rohinni.  Prior to Rohinni Mark Beach was the Senior Director of IT at Esterline Technologies an Aerospace and Defense company based in Bellevue, WA.  At Esterline, Mark was responsible for the global IT organization spanning 50 business units over 14 countries.  His responsibilities included managing an international team, definition and execution of global strategy, acquisition integration, and managing business relationships to ensure IT is delivering value to the business.  Mark also spent time teaching and implementing lean practices in both the office areas and manufacturing.

 

 

BRAD TELIN | VP Operations

Brad Telin joined Rohinni in August of 2016 as VP of Operations. He is focused on creating scale, building partnerships, and evolving our supply chain so that it can adapt to Rohinni’s dynamic business growth. Before joining Rohinni he worked for Synaptics developing Synaptics’ Bio-Metric global business and supply chain growing the business from a $30M to $400M business. Brad brings 25+ years of experience with Pacinian, General Dynamics, Itronix, World Wide Packets, and Hewlett Packard growing operations, manufacturing, distribution, sourcing and logistics activities on a global basis. When not traveling the world for Rohinni, Brad likes to spend time in the outdoors with his family at his cabin on Lake Coeur d Alene.

 

Wen Shih | VP Asia operations

Wen Shih serves as Rohinni Vice President of Asia Operations.  In this role he is responsible for driving the strategy and execution of Rohinni operations and business development in the Asia Pacific Region.  He was named to this position in July 2016 and is based in Taipei and Shanghai. Prior to joining Rohinni, Wen held operating roles at several mobile computing businesses, including: General Manager at WenStone Solutions, Executive Director in MobileDemand, and Senior Director in Itronix, where he was instrumental in leading the company’s cost-saving initiatives and efforts to streamline the product development cycles with the Asian partners. Wen received his undergraduate degree from the University of Leeds and a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

 

Monica Hansen | director of lighting innovation

Monica has spent 20 years working in Solid State Lighting with a focus on LED and laser diode technology. She has made a career by providing technical and market expertise focused on the LED lighting industry. Monica also performs work as a subject matter expert for various government agencies including the Department of Energy and National Science Foundation.  Previously, she spent 13 years with Cree, a leading LED manufacturer, as a Research Manager contributing to product development in all areas of the LED lighting value chain, from MOCVD growth and LED chip fabrication to LED package design and LED fixture development.  In addition to her product development work, Monica has experience in winning and managing government research contracts including developing research strategies and managing technical and operational work on contracts and government relations.  She has authored and co-authored numerous scientific, peer-reviewed articles, and holds US and foreign patents related to LED and laser diode device design. She received her Ph.D. in Materials from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Stan Swearingen | Chairman

Stan was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Atmel in November 2013 and General Manager, Touch Business Unit in December 2014. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Swearingen served as CTO and Senior Vice President of Advanced Development for Synaptics where he drove the overall technology strategy and direction for the company. Prior to Synaptics, Mr. Swearingen served as a member of the Office of the President at MiniCircuits where he was responsible for strategy and corporate development. From August 2004 to November 2008, Swearingen was the Vice President & General Manager of the Linear Products business unit at Skyworks Solutions, Inc.,  and from November 2000 to August 2004, he served as  Vice President and General Manager of Agere Systems Computing Connectivity division, where he was responsible for the design and manufacturing of wired and wireless connectivity solutions. Mr. Swearingen has also served as CEO of Quantex Microsystems, a direct provider of personal computers, servers, and Internet infrastructure products, and held senior management positions at National Semiconductor, Cyrix, and Digital Equipment Corp.

Johnny Humphreys

Mr. Humphreys was the CEO and Chaiman of Itron from 1987 to 1999. Itron is currently over $2Billion in revenue.  Prior to Itron, Johnny was the President of Datachecker, a $250 million subsidiary of National Semiconductors. Datachecker pioneered in the development of scanning systems used in retail sales. He was previously the founder and President of Telxon, a manufacturer of hand held computer systems for supermarkets. With his powerful strengths in business development and strategy, he successfully guided several startups to success, such as the merger and acquisition of Pacinian. Johnny is currently on theBoards of NextIT, Gen Prime, Win Partners (angel fund) and the advisory board for Gonzaga Hogan Program.

John Stone

John M. Stone is the founder and president of John Stone Development, L.L.C. and has been developing, managing, and holding real estate since 1973. After graduating from Gonzaga University in 1966, he entered the emerging commercial computing field as a System Analyst and Computer Operator for Boeing in Seattle, Washington. During this time, Mr. Stone founded the Computer Service Bureau. Mr. Stone became head of computer processing at North Idaho College. In the late 1990’s, John Stone Development re-entered the Seattle Market and quickly secured a name as one of the most active developers of mixed-use and residential projects in downtown Seattle. In 1999, Mr. Stone acquired the W.I. Forest Products Mill in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and commenced the development of Riverstone. Mr. Stone now operates under a new company that he founded in 2011 called Riverstone Holdings and continues to oversee this project.


 

Thomas Turner

After almost 40 years of developing and operating high-tech businesses, Tom currently works with entrepreneurs as a Board member, and providing consulting to Golden Gate Capital as an Operating Executive. During his career Tom has been President and/or CEO of Wang Canada Limited, Datamax Corporation, and Itronix who made ruggedized computers. He has had senior management positions at The City of New York, Graphic Systems, Wang Laboratories, Symbol Technologies, WhereNet, ADS, and General Dynamics. More recently he has served or is serving on the Board of Directors or Advisory Board for Pacinian, Host.net, Qylur Security, Sila Nano, and Yottabyte. Tom’s areas of expertise include financial and operations improvement, M&A strategy, process, and negotiation, International Business Development, and management team definition and development. 

 

Yang chiah yee

Yang Chiah Yee has over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with 15 years in various senior sales management roles, he is currently the Senior VP of WW Sales at IDEX ASA, a supplier of fingerprint biometrics solutions.  Prior to IDEX, Yang Chiah was the VP of WW Sales at Atmel.  Before Atmel, he served as VP of APAC Sales at Xilinx and President of APAC at Memec.  Yang Chiah received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore and is a graduate of the Stanford-NUS Executive program.
